Overview

This tutorial covers topics at the frontier of research on visual recognition. We will discuss the recent advances on instance-level recognition from images and videos, covering in detail the most recent work in the family of visual recognition tasks. The talks cover methods and principles behind image classification, video classification, object detection, action detection, instance segmentation, semantic segmentation, panoptic segmentation, and pose estimation.
